Marcel van der Elst, MS

Mr. van der Elst grew up in the Netherlands. Having earned a Master of Science degree from the Graduate School of Industrial Engineering and Management at the University of Eindhoven, he moved to Chicago in the late nineties for an international strategy consulting firm.


He pursued executive education at Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management and co-authored "Key Management Models" (FT/Prentice Hall, 2003), a Financial Times top-10 best-seller which was translated into several other languages.

Mr. van der Elst has 20 years of consulting experience in a wide range of industries and functional disciplines. He has led management teams in extended multi-year engagements on business transformation in strategic, commercial and operational areas. In doing so, he has optimized distribution/go-to-market strategies, developed commercial strategies, defined and guided the implementation of business strategies and he has developed/improve many business processes, including market mapping/segmentation, product development, value-based  pricing, M&A, distribution/order fulfillment, customer service and strategic account management/sales.
